About
Steel Magnolia. It’s the perfect description for how Vera handles herself in business and in life. Originally from Louisiana, Vera injects her southern charm into everything she does! But underneath that sweet exterior, Vera is an intense negotiator who is a champion for her clients.
Once she graduated from college with a double major in Management and Marketing, Vera moved to Washington, D.C. to begin a career in government service and eventually client representation. While in D.C., Vera honed her negotiating skills by working on major pieces of legislation and advocating her clients with Members of Congress. During this time, she also earned a Master’s Degree in Public Health.
After starting their family, Vera and her husband Mike decided to move to suburban Philadelphia, where Mike grew up. The slower pace of life and the lack of any type of social circle were a huge change for her. In typical Steel Magnolia fashion, she got to work learning the area, meeting people, and making new connections. She has been an active member in several mothers’ groups in the area, and volunteers regularly at her church, and at her children’s school several days a week.
Having moved often her entire life, Vera is familiar with the headaches and hassles of moving…especially moving across the country! Being raised by a single mom, homeownership was never something she experienced first-hand. Her mom didn’t own a home until she was in her mid-50s! This life experience created a passion for real estate and home ownership that has led Vera to her current career as a REALTOR®.
